Members opt-in to contributing dues at a rate of .75 percent of their gross income. For example, on a $70,000 gross salary dues will be approximately $20 per check - deducted automatically. This nominal cost is well worth the protection and security MPEA affords.
At times, the MPEA Board has voted to turn off dues for a period of time - such as for several months during the COVID-19 pandemic and for several pay periods near the end of year holidays. So in practice, dues are usually slightly under the established three quarters of one percent.
